I sat in Jeff Smith's drawing class a couple of weeks ago. We drew at the mouth of Olvera street in downtown LA. It had a been a while since I worked from a figure for as long as 3 hours, so it was a challenge to keep the drawing fresh and interesting without becoming overly wrought.
