Plumage, Ballpoint Pen on Paper, 10 x 9", 2010.

Above is a drawing that I was able to finish between creating the paintings for the Phillip Lim show and traveling last week. I survived the uprooted trees, lightening, and horizontal rain in Brooklyn and spent my last few hours on the plane ride back to Los Angeles noodling away on the peacock's plumage. A milky fog nesting in LAX delayed our approach to the gate which allowed the Hare to drizzle more tar on the conjoined twins. Below is a new limited edition giclee of my painting, Tango, which will be available from SURU. It is in an edition of 50, signed, numbered, and custom embossed. The giclee measures 28 x 44" (image size 26.3 x 42"), beautifully reproduced with archival pigment ink on Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper, for $500. The painting from which this giclee was created was originally exhibited at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles from October 24, 2009 - January 24, 2010. The original work is 60 x 96", oil on two canvases, finished in 2009.
