After reading through the script to Fables 62, I was inspired by a moment in the story that was quite peaceful and meditative. The absence of tension seems anathema to comic book covers, so it was a challenge to make the image interesting and striking.

I loved painting the soap and reflections in the water. The lily pads allude to the amphibian nature of Ambrose (the Frog Prince), who is undergoing a baptism of sorts.

A few color adjustments later, the cover is finished.
